Today's challenge: Most embarrassing moment(s). Spill.
I group embarrassing moments in the same categories as "awful things that I'd like to quickly forget". At the same time, I'm not sure I have too many completely shocking and embarrassing moments because I don't often feel like the center of attention -- so when "these" types of things happen to me, I usually don't feel that people saw, cared or were generally that interested. Maybe, that's wrong to assume.
But, of course, I've had a couple of "incidents" that I wish would not have happened.
Like, in high school, when a friend screamed in the cafeteria and told everyone who my crush was (he was in the room, too).
Or, in high school, when I fell directly after graduation while everyone was taking pictures on the steps outside the school, and rather than taking pictures, too, I was dealing with blood gushing through my white gown from the scrapes on my knees.
Or, the time I crashed into Sean's brother's car -- in their driveway, and pretty much totaled my car.
Or, when I had to get rabies shots in the middle of the emergency room with Sean when we first started dating (by the way, if you don't know, your first few shots for the rabies vaccine are given to you on the butt). Real fun.
But I think what tops the cake, just because it was out of character for me, was the incident we had at a local fair. It's shameful... and every time it's brought up in certain company, I cringe a little on the inside.
We were at a fair, Sean, his brother and his girlfriend at the time.
Stuck in traffic in the parking lot, on the way home.
The couple behind us was being rude (beeping, shouting, swearing, call everybody names).
They eventually started yelling something about Sean's brother's girlfriend because she allowed a car to move into the main lane (traffic was stopped).
Sean and his brother got out of the car, to tell this guy and his wife/girlfriend/whoever to relax.
That guy got out of the car, and at the same time his wife/girlfriend/whoever moved over the driver's seat, and started to drive.
Since the car door was left open, it swung out and hit Sean (so basically she hit him with their car).
I was in the backseat of our car, and must have looked through the rear window at her with my "B" face because she came running out of the car toward me.
She couldn't open my door since it was locked so she reached in from the front seat (the window was open), and before she could do anything to me, I punched her in the face.
I KNOW. If you know me in real life, this is TOTALLY not me.
But I felt that it was necessary, at that time.
The end result was that she was so shocked she "retreated" and the boys got back in our car and we drove away, since luckily traffic cleared up.
And then for about 4 months, my friends pranked called me claiming to be the police and said that they had a report of assault.
So needless to say, it's a little embarrassing whenever that story comes up at family gatherings.
