I spent most of my time there [trying] to keep Chelsey on task with her wedding plans and making sure that Michaels had enough business to stay open... I think we made purchases there [practically] every day.
Her wedding was absolutely beautiful and so much fun! It was right on the ocean in San Clemente and even though it wasn't the sunniest of days it was perfect for pictures because none of us had to squint our eyes during photo shoots. =)
Every last detail was beautiful from the location, to the food, to all the DIY projects that were included. I wish I had taken pictures... but I didn't want to be so preoccupied with taking pictures only to realize later that I had missed the whole event entirely by only looking at it through a lens!
The tables were beautifully decorated with DIY menu cards that were tucked into black napkins and AMAZING centerpieces that included white roses, hydrangeas, tulips, and peonies. The day before the wedding we drove to the LA flower district to purchase all the flowers. Let me tell you... the 5AM wake up call came quickly that morning but it was a pretty cool experience. I wish there was a Boston flower market that we could get all our flowers at. But there's not...
She had four bridesmaids & one maid of honor [only two BMs & her MOH are in this picture]. Our dresses were from White House Black Market and were extremely cute and absolutely something I will wear again. It was really fun to get together the day before the wedding and have our manicures & pedicures together. The day of the wedding we started getting ready at 9AM so that we could all have our make-up and hair done. Chelsey had a hotel room in Dana Point that was beautiful and had someone come to us to do our hair & make-up -- which was so much fun and such a treat!
The night before the wedding she gave all us girls our gifts which was a shoe bag [which is very cute!] that consisted of white flip-flops [to dance in during the reception!], a beautiful green necklace [as seen in the picture], watermelon gum, hand sanitizer, and body lotion. The rhinestone studded bridesmaid tank top was given to all of us when she asked us to be in her bridal party and we all wore them the day of the wedding while getting ready. It was really cute! There are so many things I want to incorporate in our wedding! It was really great to be a part of the process, even for the last two weeks especially since I missed out on her bachelorette party, and the other stops along the way that bridesmaids usually partake in.
Of course... it wasn't all wedding while I was there. I did have the pleasure of going to see Eclipse which was actually negotiated with the bride back in May when I realized it would be coming to theaters while I was out there. I spent my fourth of July on the beach watching fireworks, went to both an Angels game & a Dodgers game [I know, TWO baseball games! Can you believe it?!], walked down Hollywood Blvd, ate Mexican food so many times I can't even count them, and spent an entire day at Universal Studios. It was extremely successful and Chelsey & I have agreed that my 2 week trip out to see her should be a regular summer occurrence.
Love this post!! Great re-cap of our two weeks!!! I miss you already!
