Our weekend was pretty low-key.
Friday night, I opened mail from the President.
And, while I received what is probably a generic card that is most likely sent to people who either voted or spent money on him...
We are tempted to go to the Inauguration.
I spent most of Saturday, in bed, reading Harry Potter and trying to book a hotel in D.C. for Inauguration weekend.
It's not cheap, let me tell ya.
Saturday night we went out to dinner: chicken wings and fries.
And a Saturday night wouldn't be complete without a trip to Michaels, obviously.
Sunday morning, we went grocery shopping and Apollo thought she could come.
In the afternoon, I went to a wedding expo with a close friend who just got engaged.
It's been a while since I've been to one of those. :)
We finished Sunday off at dinner with family while semi-watching the Patriots...
but really just talking about Pretty Little Liars.
Well me anyway, Sean made fun of it.
I've been back at work for over a week now and it feels as though vacation was so long ago.
Luckily, the weather is relatively nice. It was about 58 today.
For MA, that's amazingly out of the ordinary for January 14th. So, of course, we'll accept it.
But know it won't last.
We've been making dinner at home.
Weekly grocery shopping has it's perks. Like, having food in the house.
Last week's dinners consisted of: stuffed shells, buffalo chicken wings with rice, beef/sausage chili, and broccoli/chicken alfredo.
On the menu this week: baby back ribs, empanadas, chicken fajitas, spaghetti with homemade sauce.
We just ate the ribs.
And now we're trying to convince ourselves to go to the gym.
I don't think it's going to happen.
Cuddling on the couch, watching Transformers and playing Words with Friends seems like a better end to a Monday night.
For sure.
I heard on the Today show, there are still plenty of rooms for the Inaguration, but also heard they are extremely expensive! And I agree sitting on the couch = way better than gym, especially when its cold : )
