One of my favorite bloggers, Jenni, has started a link-up: Blog every day in May.
Today's challenge: The story of your life in 250 words or less.
I was born on September 10th, 1986 outside of
Boston. One of my lungs collapsed when I was born, and doctors are pretty “impressed”
with the story. I have no side effects other than a small scar and asthma. My
parents were not married until I was 19. My childhood was surrounded with
family and filled with happy memories of American girl dolls, rollerblading
attempts, and playing house. I've been a student at a Catholic school, a
private school and a public school. One year, at summer camp I was thrown into a
pool and I still can’t look at a body of water the same. I did well in school, without putting much
effort in – but I wasn't a “joiner” which later affected my college
applications. High school was marked by 9/11, getting my license the day I was
able to, getting my first job at a party supply store, spending a lot of time
with friends and moving across the country to live with family for my senior
year. I moved back to the Boston area to graduate and began college that fall. I
changed my major a lot, and somewhere between dating Sean, working a couple of
different jobs, and going to classes -- I graduated with a degree in English. I
got a teaching job (at the same private school I once attended), and Sean and I
got engaged. Since then, we've moved a
bunch of times, gotten married and are parents to two adorable kittens.
Count the words. There's 250. :)
I can't guarantee I'll get to participate each day, but I'm going to try!
WOW! impressive that you fit all this into 250 words, even though I knew everything already i enjoyed reading :)
