Throwing a bridal shower.

This past weekend, I helped throw a bridal shower for one of my friends. I tried to incorporate all my favorite things that were included at my bridal shower and then used Pinterest to find other cute things that I thought should be included. We followed a chalkboard theme and used the colors purple/silver/black.

We had a couple of things for guests to do while they ate and mingled like the "Date night jar" where guests wrote date night ideas on decorated popsicles; an empty journal where guests wrote advice and encouragement for the bride; and blank envelopes where guests addressed one to themselves for thank you cards. The "from miss to mrs" banner was made with a Sizzix machine and the favors were really cute jars of lavender bath salts that said "from my shower to yours". We also had two games that we played; "How well do you know the bride?" and Bridal Bingo while people watched the bride open her gifts. We had prizes for the first couple of winners. It was a great day!
