Four days after we got home from North Carolina, Sean left for Seattle. The reason for his 4 day trip to visit his brother was to help buy, transport and turn 1 ton of grapes into wine. Yes, a real, whole ton. Not just like "literally a ton!" but an actual, literal ton. Because of work, I couldn't go with him which left me alone in our house for the first time ever. I didn't love it. I was scared. My fear truly crept up at 3AM each night when Apollo cried an awful cry and woke me up. It took a few nights to figure out that her "a wild animal is dying" cry was in response to a cat on our back deck. The first night, it took everything in me to turn on the outside light. All I could think about was in the movie Scream... you know -- "turn on the patio lights". Ugh. But I did it and saw nothing -- quickly grabbed all the cats and stayed in the bedroom till the sun came up.
Blogging has taken a backseat to travel, fall projects and holiday anticipation. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, I'll blog about the last few weeks.
I would freak out being in the house alone and hearing that at night! Love North Carolina! I hope your husband comes home soon! Xo Kirst
