8 apps I'm loving.

I'll admit, I love my phone. I love new apps. I love social media. I love taking pictures and videos and shopping instantly. I love finding things that help streamline life. I don't think it's a bad thing at all. The main thing I like to do with my phone is to document Javi. People argue that you should unplug every once in a while to clear your mind and be in the moment. Well -- I "unplug" while at work and while asleep and anytime I drive. Add that time together and it's more than 3/4 of a 24-hour cycle. So... I love it the rest of the time. And I love using these apps in particular:

instagram - Instagram has been my first choice for social media for a while now. I wasn't totally on board when they changed the newsfeed from chronological order to... what is it now? Most popular or something? Well anyway... I've started using instastories (which I love though I do wish they would save somewhere within the instagram account) and I love their new feature of posting more than 1 photo at a time. So fun!

amazon - Sean and I order from amazon 3 or 4 times a week. It's our first choice and our back-up plan. We do subscribe and save for most of Javi's "stuff" (diapers, wipes, etc.), we get cleaning supplies, fun stuff -- shoes, clothes -- even medicine. The app is great because it's quick and you can order on the go and your order arrives in just 2 days if you have Prime. It's the best.

1se - This is still my most favorite way to document Javi. Short, 1 second video clips. They are so cute when they are all strung together. I ended up doing it for the entire 2016 year and I love watching it. I'll admit that I haven't been that on-the-ball this year (though I have tons of videos) so I need to put together January's video and now February, since tomorrow marks the end of the month.

countable - This app is my new favorite way to get involved. Once you make an account you can read clear summaries of upcoming and active legislation, directly tell your lawmakers yay or nay and follow-up with how your lawmakers ended up voting. It's easy and feels purposeful.

wunderlist - This app takes list making to the extreme. Sean and I use it for our grocery shopping list. It's easy because it syncs to both our phones (even though I'm iPhone and he's Android) and as you check items off your list, it alerts anyone else who is linked. I did also use it for different lists too -- movies I wanted to see, songs I liked, places I wanted to visit -- but now I bullet journal all those things.

walmart - We do our grocery shopping at Walmart. They have a savings catcher feature on their app that is really great. Once you make a purchase you scan your receipt into their app and for about 2 weeks Walmart checks other stores in your area for competitive prices. If anything you bought ends up going on sale, anywhere else in your area, they give you back the difference. We typically get back $5-10 a trip and this past weekend when we cashed in all our reward dollars we got back $30. That's a lot of savings!

google photos - So I don't know about you but I have an iPhone that never seems to have space. I ALWAYS get that dreaded message in the middle of the taking photos and videos that I have no more space. But ever since I started using Google photos that message hasn't appeared quite so frequently. It still does -- but now it's easy for me to quickly connect to wifi -- dump all the photos and videos in google photos and then delete them off the phone. I don't have to worry they will get deleted forever by mistake and think about which ones I've already moved over, etc.

fotorus - While I LOVE instagram -- I was getting a bit tired of their filters. It just seems like I always use the same ones and my pictures were starting to look blurry. This photo app makes my pictures so bright and clear that I haven't been using filters on instagram. I love it and it's easy to use. There are a lot of ads but if you look past it -- it's worth it!

What about you? Which apps are your favorite? I'll quickly empty my phone into Google Photos so I have space. :)
