Action 1/10.

I had to work the day of the Womens March so I couldn't travel to DC or attend a sister rally. To say I was upset would be an understatement. When I got home from work I tried to catch what was left on TV. And then DjT interrupted with some unnecessary speech and I thought well isn't that just the icing on the cake. So when the organizers of the march launched their new campaign 10 actions / 100 days to coincide with the first 100 days of this administration-- I felt re-energized. The first action item was to write postcards to your state senators about whatever matters to you most, how you will fight for said item and includes a plea to your senator that you hope they will continue the fight too. I'm in Massachusetts and have senators that are already pretty "on board" with how I feel, but I decided it never hurts to thank them, to show appreciation and support and to let them know that what they are doing matters. Rather than just write 2 postcards (1 to Warren, 1 to Markey) I asked people at my school to write postcards too! Working and writing together (teachers and students) we were able to write and send more than 145 postcards to our senators about the ACA, immigration, women's rights, "the wall", Betsy DeVos, and so much more! I highly recommend sending postcards (and calling too because that actually makes more of an impact). But I'm excited to join this new 100 campaign to get our voices heard. On to action 2!
