When we moved into our house, the first floor bathroom looked like this:
There were a couple of things wrong with this. For starters -- the wallpaper. Woah, huh? It makes me shutter. There are three patterns going on there, if you couldn't tell. It was rough. Next, the chair rail was as high as my shoulders and it made the room feel like it was falling in on me. No, thanks. Next the floor was yellow -- but not the kind of yellow like "wow, this is pretty, let's install a yellow floor!" but more like "when the floor was installed it was white and now it is dingy yellow". It's taken three months… but I'd like to proudly say that Sean installed his first toilet the other night. If you take into consideration what had to happen before installing the toilet, that means the walls and the floors are finished. Hooray! I'm happy to show off our fancy new toilet (that works!… the old one didn't...) and our brand new floors, wainscoting and paint!
I can't even tell you how much of a difference it makes. It's so much calmer. We're still working on the opposite side of the bathroom. Right now, it is sink-less and door-less. Hopefully by the end of the week, that'll be remedied!
Looks so amazing!

ReplyDeleteIt looks so, so good now! Great job.
ReplyDeleteI will never understand why anyone would do three patterns of wallpaper!
