A year in review...

Even though our engagement happened in 2009 and our wedding will happen in 2011, a lot of the "work" happened in 2010. So I thought I'd take some time to remember all things wedding that were accomplished in two.thousand.ten.

Here we go:

My dress. I remember it like it was yesterday. The date was January 1st. And when I saw it, it was love at first sight. Legit.

The venue. This took some time. Mostly because money is a huge factor and we [the bride & groom, ya know?] have such different tastes. But, we agreed and chose and paid.

The officiant. After giving us a sheet with vows numbered 1 thru 15 he told us our vows could be put together like a Chinese food menu. "Jasmine, if you want a little bit of number 3 & 8 and Sean wants a number 7 -- we can work with that". And we, sir, can work with you.

The music. Our venue gave us a company and we got to choose the DJ. We met him and knew it was the right fit.

The photographer. Simple. Again. Once we met him -- it was a no-brainer.

The photo booth. I knew I had to have one. I wanted it so badly, I made it fit into our budget. And by made, I mean I went over budget to include it. Oh, well.

The flowers. No daisies, it's okay. Once I saw mini calla lilies it was a little bit like seeing my dress again: love at first sight.

The bridal party. I knew all along. Luckily, they all agreed.

The bridesmaid dresses & shoes. This took a considerable amount of time. Probably because I needed approval from seven individuals who reside all over the country.

The guest list. We needed the guest list in order to budget. So it was one of the first things we did. But we crossed out and refined over & over again... and by that I mean we added & added names & names.

The save the dates. The guest list was needed for these, too. It was pretty hard to choose because there are so many amazing options.

The registry. The gift registry, that is. When I say it's a lot of work, I mean -- it's a lot of work. But fun.

The engagement party. I actually had nothing to do with the work that went into this; however, I was able to fully enjoy it and it was one of the most memorable moments in 2010. So I figured I'd add it onto my list of accomplishments.

=)
