Gossip update: things that don't matter.

When real life news is too much to handle, I immerse myself in celebrity gossip.
It always seems irrational and illogical yet totally entertaining.
I know they're people too, and they didn't ask for the "fame",
but it's kind of part of their deal.

If I were in their shoes, I'd probably be annoyed and even more embarrassed --
but since I'm not, I'll just crack up as I think about all that I read, saw and watched this week:

What would Ryan Lochte do?... Absolutely nothing. His new reality show is slightly painful to get through, but I forced myself to stick it out. It's basically about him going to swim practice, working out, partying with his friends, taking different girls on dates to the same restaurant, and spending time with his family. Hmm, sounds like a normal person? Right. So tell me... even though nothing happened, and I'm still complaining about it days later  -- why do I know that I'll most likely watch the entire season?

I've heard a lot about this train-wreck lately: from the Anne Frank thing, to supposedly getting a tattoo that resembles an ex-girlfriend, to now an apparent drug raid on his tour bus. Some say it was just pot, others say it was narcotics. Who to believe? CNN or TMZ? Either way, I think Justin Timberlake's return of awesomeness has had a major effect on the Biebs. For sure. This is not to say that I don't own and enjoy his latest CD because I do.

Oh, Reese. Why, oh why? Reese got arrested the other night after her husband was stopped for a DUI. Apparently, she was making a scene, got out of the car even after she was asked not to, and started yelling things like "do you know who I am?" to the police officer -- who I'm sure couldn't care less. Have no fear, because Ryan Phillippe is on "daddy-duty" following the fall-out and while Reese and her husband are on damage control. I'm confused... once you're a dad aren't you always on daddy duty?

Much like with the whole episode of What Would Ryan Lochte Do? I also sat myself down for this "special" with the Kardashians and Ryan Seacrest. E! network advertised it as an intimate sit down with the family -- but all I learned was that they're more crazy, more vulgar, and yet more fascinating than ever. I can't help it. And then I'm mad at myself. And PS, you are famous for being famous -- which is fine. Own it.

Jenelle Evans was arrested, again. Shocker. Actually the shocker is the fact that her lawyer is still representing her and still claiming she's innocent and that it was not her heroin. ha! Well, actually, he must be making a ton of money off her -- no wonder, he keeps her around.

So, not a very revealing post. Nothing about me or Sean or Apollo or Artemis.
But sometimes that's okay. Because sometimes you just need entertainment,
or as some may call it: trash.
But it's really oh-so-fun.

And just for good measure, here's my favorite thing I've seen all day:

Happy April 25th!

The Oscars.

Usually, I go to bed at 10PM.
I just can't function during my day without a decent amount of sleep.
But last night, the Oscars didn't even start until 8:30,
and I felt like they were only giving out an award every 40 minutes.
It was slow-moving. For sure.
I was hesitant about Seth Macfarlane hosting since I rarely get his humor.
Except for Ted. I like Ted.
However, he was the saving grace in our house,
and the only reason, I think, Sean was semi-interested in the awards.

At 10, we moved to bed and watched the rest of the show on our tablet --
since, we don't have a TV in our bedroom.
Yup, we can get live TV on our tablet.
Don't ask...

Well, I thought I was watching and thoroughly enjoying the show...
and the next thing I knew Sean had switched it and was watching Stand By Me.
Say whatt? DON'T YOU KNOW THE OSCARS ARE ON?
I said, "hey! I was watching that!"
*insert a rude tone of voice and a 90's "duh!"*
And his response was "um, I shut it off 15 minutes ago. Go back to sleep"
:) so I read about the rest in the AM.

Let's just say:
Jennifer Lawrence was my favorite part of the Oscars.
Hands down.
Every time I watch her on something, I wish she was my friend.
In real life.

And then I saw this, and it made me realize that a lot of people feel the same way for her.
When I read that she tripped.
Oh, so sad.
I just love her more.
I'm sure she's consoling herself with her OSCAR.

Meanwhile, I fell at my high school graduation...
and had to console myself with a bloody knee, and lame diploma.
A golden statue would have been so much better.
She'll bounce back...
I mean, I totally did.
;)

Recent Celebrity Obsessions.

I just can't get enough of...

1. Zac Efron.

via.

I developed a crush on Zac Efron when we saw New Year's Eve. I thought he was super entertaining and then last week I watched 17 Again -- I think it was on ABC Family and I couldn't turn it off. Before these two movies I had never seen him in anything! But of course, I'm now anxiously awaiting The Lucky One and every time the preview comes on I whip my head around as if I haven't seen it the 1,000 times its played. But I'm really intrigued...

2. Zooey Deschanel

via.

I'm obsessed with Zooey Deschanel. I wait for her show every week. I love her YouTube channel. I love her "friendship" with Joseph Gordon Levitt. I love her character of Jess in New Girl. I love her in Elf, Failure to Launch, (500) Days of Summer, Almost Famous, Our Idiot Brother, and so much more. Oh, and I love this:

3. Justin Bieber & Taylor Swift

via.

I love him. I love her. And put them together and I just can't get enough. I love all her music. I'm quickly falling in love with the Bieb's song Boyfriend and I LOVE that they've recently collaborated on a song for his new album that I will totally be purchasing when it comes out in the summer. And I love that he Punk'd her. You should watch it on MTV. I was very amused.

What I'm loving Wednesday!

I'm loving that the CMA's are on and that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are hosting, yet again! I'm also loving the fact that T. Swift is sitting next to Tim McGraw! :)

I'm loving that not only is it Wednesday which means the weekend is almost here BUT Friday is a holiday so we're even closer than usual to a LONG weekend!

I'm loving that Friday will also be 11/11/11 and I've already set Siri to remind me to make a wish at 11:11 AM & PM :)

I'm loving that slowly but surely the Black Friday deals are being released. I'm going to start making plans soon!

AND...

I'm loving that I found great clothes in the clearance section at Target and got a sweater for $4!

What about you?!

T.V. Commitments.

It's been about a month since most of the new shows of the season have begun and I've committed to so many! (Possibly too many?)

For instance:

Monday: 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men, Hart of Dixie, The Lying Game.
Tuesday: 90210, Ringer, Raising Hope, Parenthood.
Wednesday: Criminal Minds, Up All Night, Suburgatory, Happy Endings.
Thursday: The Big Bang Theory, The Secret Circle, Whitney.

Normally, I DVR a bunch of shows and by week 2 or 3... I drop a couple just because I don't like them as much as I thought I would. But this season? No, not so much. I haven't dropped a single show and I'm still interested in them all! If anything, I just keep adding shows to my schedule.

So what do I think? Here's my T.V. recap:

- 2 Broke Girls & Whitney are both hysterical. I'm such a fan of Whitney Cummings and love when she's on Chelsea Lately.
- I love Ashton on Two and a Half Men but then again, I was never a fan of of Charlie Sheen.
- 90210 holds a special place in my heart as does Sarah Michelle Gellar in Ringer and Rachel Bilson in Hart of Dixie-- I watch Ringer out of pure devotion to SMG...

- Parenthood is an amazing show that EVERY SINGLE person should watch -- set your DVR to record it now... plus Lauren Graham is almost as amazing in it as she was in Gilmore Girls.
- Up All Night, Suburgatory, Raising Hope, and Happy Endings are all around funny shows -- pretty different in plots but the dialogues are quick and hysterical and they're sitcoms that Sean enjoys, too.
- Criminal Minds has been back to being AMAZING ever since they brought back Paget Brewster and A.J. Cook.
- The Big Bang Theory is hilariously funny and Sean and I love watching it together!
- The Secret Circle is interesting and I can tell I'll be hooked very shortly... I've LOVED Britt Robertson since the first episode of Life Unexpected.
- And, The Lying Game? Well... I watch it just because I love seeing their outfits...

What's everyone else watching?!
