Currently loving: Nordstrom edition

Okay, guys. I'm totally ready to put away my sweaters and my UGGS for some clothing that is a bit lighter -- sometimes a bit brighter, but definitely still layered (it's New England, after all). I'm ready to put away my fleece pajamas & down coats (it's been a long, long, super cold winter) and I'm totally ready to get a pedicure and to let my feet see the sun. Right?! I just can't wait. I've been dreaming about the warmer weather and I've picked out some favorite things for the upcoming (I just know it's on its way!) spring. WHERE ARE YOU, SPRING?? Whenever I'm at a loss for things to do, I look at clothes online -- anyone else? Nordstrom never disappoints. Here are some of my favorites right now:

What are you loving right now?

Nordstrom Winter Sale.

When Nordstrom started promoting their winter sale I got into this online shopper's mode where I thought I had money (I don't) and I put everything in my online shopping cart and pretended I could afford everything in it (I couldn't). But it doesn't hurt (that much) to pretend! We are in that part of the season where I'm still thoroughly enjoying all my winter sweaters and boots and because it's so cold I'm not ready to think about spring or summer clothes. But new stuff is always fun. So if I had an endless budget... these are some items I would love to add to my closet.

The options are pretty endless and it's not so hard to choose how to fill a pretend closet! I must consistently remind myself that less is more. :)

Weekly Recap.

On the blog:

Sunday: Happy Easter.

This morning, I decided it was time to switch out my winter clothes for spring clothes.
It's only 29 degrees outside but I figure someone needs to make the first move.
And it's clearly not going to be mother nature.

A huge mess was made before it started looking semi-normal.
The closet was emptied, as were huge bins from underneath the bed and hall closet.
But I'm about to leave and it still looks a little disastrous.

In the same spring spirit -- I'm going to get my first pedicure of this "warm" season.
I'm excited to wear flip-flops... even if it means that today I could possibly get frost bite.
Ouch.

Rompers from my husband's perspective.

I'm browsing clothing sites like Simply Audrey, Bloom, and -- of course, Anthropologie.
I'm not purchasing, just imagining.

This is a conversation that just happened:
Me: "do you know what a romper is?"
Sean: "no."
Me: "well, if I show you something will you tell me if it's ugly but could possibly be cute on me?"
Sean: "is it something Kim Kardashian would wear?"
Me: "yes."
Sean: "then, nope."

When I showed him, his face looked like the photo above.
Which was taken 4 weeks ago when I was waving my scarf in his face,
while doing an interpretive dance.

Apparently, my dancing skills and the idea of Kim Kardashian cause the same facial expression.
Maybe, it just means I force him to watch E! too often when her shows are on.
Speaking of... I have 2 episodes of Kourtney & Kim.
What a Friday night!

Easter Dresses.

It's almost Easter and we'll be going to brunch :)

I have to make a decision on what to wear...

I hope it's nice weather or I'll have to rethink this.

Happy April!

We had a really great free weekend filled with a movie night, scrapbooking, and dinner with friends.

We've never used Redbox before but I'd say it was pretty successful. Unfortunately, I didn't pick the best movies. Honestly, I thought Bad Teacher was funny, Young Adult was awkward and I just felt sad for her, and What's Your Number could have been 45 minutes shorter.

On Sunday, I decided to clean my closet because it was looking like this...

But after an hour it looked like this!

Sean informed me that he's been noticing my clothes/shoes/bags have been migrating across the room into his closet. So I guess next weekend I should probably work on his closet, too.

Going through all my clothes had me thinking about the 30 x 30 fashion challenge found here.

I read about it a while ago and thought it sounded interesting but now I'm actually intrigued and considering it. Supposedly, we only wear 20% of our clothing 80% of the time. I have to say I agree with that. I know I definitely wear the same things over and over and I'm not that good about putting together different outfits with the same items. But I think it's a challenge I'd be willing to try.

I guess you really have to be smart about the 30 items you choose to wear!

:)
