Purchases, dancing & weather

I went to the mall in search of a rehearsal dinner dress and got sidetracked by my coupons for Victoria's Secret. Of course, the coupons didn't end up helping me at all since they were those tricky ones that only let you do this or that in a specific way. But, I was pretty excited with my purchases. :)

We're still waiting for our diploma from dance class. I got some questions after my last post and I have to admit that I loved going to dance with Sean. I've never taken dance -- ever. It's really not my thing. I learned a lot and it was really fun to go together and have something fun to do that didn't really seem like "wedding planning" -- while we did it... but in actuality it was something wedding related that Sean participated in 100%.

I would definitely suggest doing it. Even if you both know how to dance. We were horrible in the beginning. And now I feel more confident. Not to say that I'm a pro -- far from it. I'll probably still forget what to do and lead the way... but at least I learned that's my personality. :)

Tomorrow marks a big day. Wanna know why?

Well, not only does our countdown switch to SINGLE-DIGITS -- BUT!

The 10 day weather forecast will finally show what will be going on with mother nature on 16th. Oh yeah. BIG DAY.

Dancing.

I'm proud to say that Sean and I have officially "graduated" from our dance class. This is not to say that after our first dance we'll be able to audition for Dancing with the stars. No, no.

I'm pretty horrible. I'm a bad listener, I forced myself not to lead and I have no coordination. For real. Sean's pretty great. :)

We're slowing confirming vendors, and paying them so that they show up on the 16th.

It's pretty stressful & weird.

That's all for now.

Dancin' shoes.

Our last dance class was canceled because the instructor was feeling sick, and I still haven't rescheduled. I hope we haven't forgotten our steps!

I've been buying lots & lots of wedding things. Bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, thank you cards (from Paper Source!) for my upcoming bridal shower [March 19!], and I'm in search of something that I'll reveal at a later date... IF I find it.

Next weekend, it's time to pick invitations!

And stay tuned for all the details about our food tasting which was last Wednesday. As soon as I get some pics they'll be up on the blog. ;)

Away for the weekend!

Sean and I are on our way to NYC for the weekend... our belated-Valentine's Day weekend, if you will.

Expect updates when we get back about our trip, the fox trot we're learning and our food tasting next week! Things are coming together!

154 days & counting...

Sean and I got home from our first dance class a few hours ago. And let me tell you...

It was so amazing!

It was easy and fun. And I only got stepped on 3 times... I'm pretty sure all three times were my fault because I stepped with the wrong foot. =( I'm learning!

Our next class is on Thursday. So we'll see what happens then.

In other wedding news...

My mom is planning my bridal shower. The invitations have been sent and I keep hearing rave reviews about how cute they are! I can't wait to post pictures.

It's pretty soon and every once in a while she sends me adorable pictures of things she's thinking of having at the shower. Today... champagne glass name tags!

They make me smile!

Tomorrow we'll be eating lots & lots of cake for lunch ;)

...And Sean's show went extremely well last night.

Just in case!

Dirty Dancing.

Sean and I have picked our first dance song. Yay!

However, the other night we tried to dance to it... and we need help! Serious assistance...

Okay, we know how to sway as if we were at a middle school dance... and we know how to move as if we were at a club. But that "happy medium"... of dancing at our own reception with all eyes on us... we can't find it.

Luckily, last winter while I was attending bridal show upon bridal show I must have put my email down for a company that offers dance classes to couples. Fate? I think so.

The company is Boston Ballroom Dance Center and they are offering a "wedding crash course" dance class Feb. 13 for $125 a couple.

Unfortunately, I don't quite think I'm ready to venture out into the world of dance (never having taken a single dance class) with a group of complete strangers.

So private lessons... here we come!

It costs $400 per couple to have 5 private dance lessons including 1 introductory class. I'm pretty sold...

I mean, even though I'd love for our dance to be choreographed like the last dance in Dirty Dancing... I don't think it'll happen. And I'm okay with that.
