Sean's new band: i invent.

Sean and some friends formed a new band.
Which is a good thing because since the break-up of Widow Sunday, his last band...
He's been antsy. And motivated to get something new started.

I'm really proud that he's the type of guy that will make things happen for himself.
When he believes in something, he goes for it and his passion is unyielding.
And when he no longer sees something working out for him, he walks away.
Life's too short, right?

His new band includes some past band members, some long-term friends, and some new friends that will soon become family.
That tends to be how a band works.
You're suddenly in a relationship with four more people, plus their significant others.
It's strange, but interesting.

So, here's to i invent.

...May the odds be ever in your favor.

2.11.2011

A little wedding, a little everything else.

So I find myself sick, again. Apparently, from June 16th to the wedding day I'm going to need to be in some type of quarantine situation- like in a plastic bubble. Seriously.

And I'm even more sad because this is a big weekend for me, us, Sean.

Of course, I could go on & on about our first dance class tomorrow which I'll probably have to reschedule because I can't stand for long periods of time, let alone... move around.

And of course, I could go on & on about our cake tasting on Sunday -- I'll be surprised if I'm even able to taste what I'm trying.

However! That's not really why I'm all that upset...

I'm upset because tonight. Friday, February 11th, 2011 - my fiance - the most important person in my whole world has a huge event to "attend". A sort of "life goal", if you will -- will be achieved. A dream will become a reality.

Maybe you know... maybe you don't -- the most fabulous person in my world is in a
band:

Widow Sunday.

Their CD:

And when someone who grows up playing guitar, writing music and playing in bands in Massachusetts -- gets the opportunity to play here:

the palladium in worcester.

...it's a really, big deal.

I know he's excited, and a little nervous - because, hello -- look at the artists that have shared that stage before...

50 Cent, Blink 182, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill, Deftones, Bob Dylan, Sean Paul, Filter, Foo Fighters, Fuel, Garbage, Godsmack, Hoobastank, Dropkick Murphys, Twiztid, Jay Z, Kanye West, Jimmy Eat World, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Korn, Meshuggah, Wu-Tang Clan, New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, New Found Glory, My Chemical Romance, All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional, Offspring, Papa Roach, Powerman 5000, Prince, Puddle Of Mudd, Opeth, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Sevendust, Simple Plan, Dope, Yellowcard, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Avenged Sevenfold, The Used, Coheed And Cambria, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Unearth, Four Year Strong, The Acacia Strain

*I'm pretty sure the artists I highlighted and the ones he would have preferred to showcase are very much different.* ;)

But anyways...

While I prefer to listen to music that sounds a little more like this:

And a little less like this:

I have to admit that tonight is the most important, and most exciting thing in his world right now. So my sickness & musical interests aside (I'll be there, tonight!), and our wedding planning aside (for just a few hours!), tonight is all about him and how very excited and proud I am of him -- and for him.
